At our small village school, our three mixed-age classes, each accommodating up to 16 children, provide a nurturing environment where every child can thrive and showcase their Butleigh Brilliance.
Mixed-year groups offer many benefits, including tailored learning experiences, opportunities for peer learning, and a flexible curriculum that supports creative and dynamic teaching. Younger children are inspired by older peers, while older children develop leadership and mentoring skills, fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration.
Our skilled teachers ensure lessons are adapted to build on prior knowledge, helping each child grow in confidence, independence, and resilience while celebrating their individuality.
A typical day at Butleigh
We open the gates at 8:50, giving children 10mins to get settled into their classroom.
The school day begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:30pm
